Four Stroke Diesel Engine Model

This model shows the internal structure and operating principles of a water cooled four-stroke engine. The valves are clearly evident, cams being driven by a gear train from the rear of the main crank. This is the chain driven overhead camshaft type and all functional components (camshaft, rock-arms, tappets, etc.) are clearly demonstrated. The functioning of the fuel injection system is also represented. Cross sections of the carburetor and fuel supply are shown.
Hand powered motion supplied through a crank demonstrates the moving parts of the engine. Crank shaft, piston, valves and cams cycle through all stages of the four-stroke process as the handcrank is rotated.
A simulated spark plug uses a small lamp to indicate the firing point.

Hydro Electric Power Station

This Hydro-electric power generator is composed of a well made turbine with transparent cover connected to a small motor to generate electricity. Ideal for classroom demonstrations, students can directly observe the process of conversion of water flow to electrical energy that occurs in hydro-electric power plants.
A brass chromed water wheel is mounted in a cast aluminum casing about 10cm in diameter. The water turbine is mounted on a metal base together with a dynamo, motor, lamp, LED, and a two way selecting switch.
The apparatus is specially designed for operation under low water pressure, and performs extremely well with higher water pressure. Supplied are a 25mm diameter outflow tubing and an inlet tubing with adaptor for larger size water taps.

Steam Engine Model

This model shows the internal structure and operating principles of a working steam engine. The metal cylinder is cross-section cut and is covered with a clear plate to show movement of the piston inside the cylinder.
Complete with working parts – the piston, slide valve both move and the link motion and reversing method can be observed. The movement of the wheel is light enough to demonstrate even by blowing air from one’s mouth.

Two Stroke Diesel Engine Model

This model shows the internal structure and operating principles of an air cooled two-stroke engine. All parts are aluminum and plastic. Ignition is shown via a small bulb. Carburetter and fuel supply are also sectioned. Hand crank is provided for manual operation. Mounted on a base.

Wankel Rotary Engine Model

This model shows the internal structure and operating principles of a Wankel engine. This model is cut away to show the internal constructional details. Unlike other engines, the rotary piston engine avoids reciprocating parts. The power piston is an arch like triangular rotor which upon rotation, generates an epitrechoid. .
